Sr. CFO / AdvisorJohn began his career in New York City working in his family’s wholesale food distribution company before becoming a Certified Public Accountant at boutique NYC-based public accounting firms, serving clients in garment, manufacturing, entertainment, and high-net-worth real estate. His extensive financial background is instrumental in working through complex financial issues with companies’ finance and accounting personnel.
In 1998, John became the first Chief Financial Officer of DivcoWest Properties in the San Francisco Bay Area, overseeing financial, accounting, and operating functions. By 2003 he was Director of the Investment Group, leading acquisitions and dispositions and purchasing over $200 million of property for Page Mill Properties, DivcoWest’s opportunistic fund. Over his tenure he was involved with a portfolio aggregating over ten million square feet valued at over one billion dollars.
In 2004, John formed ArcPointe & AAS, an outsource CFO platform providing financial, accounting, and business consulting services to real estate developers and business owners. He has overseen the acquisition and management of a diverse portfolio including the Fig Garden Village Shopping Center, Sierra Vista Mall, industrial parks, and over 2,000 acres of land, performing over $500 million in construction and permanent financings.
Beyond real estate, John has provided consulting services across agriculture, RV and auto dealerships, behavioral health, fitness, private security, solar development, and education. Notable transactions include Class A office properties in Colorado Springs totaling ~276,000 SF (leased to Northrop Grumman and Ford Motor Credit), hotel repositionings in San Francisco, and ground-up multi-family developments.
John holds a B.S. in Accounting from St. John’s University (New York) and is a licensed CPA (NY). Deeply committed to community service, he serves on the Board and Finance Committee of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley, is an advisor to the Finance Committee of Central California Legal Services, and serves as Board Member and Treasurer of Sunnyside Country Club.
